Bierlow Park – Community Facilities and Future Improvements
Bierlow Park is a well‑loved green space located alongside Knoll Beck, bordered by Wath Road, Pontefract Road, and Moorbridge Crescent. The park offers a range of free facilities for children, young people, and families to enjoy throughout the year.
BMX Track
Bierlow Park is home to a popular BMX Track, providing a fantastic space for riders of all ages and abilities.
- A smaller learner track allows young children to try the sport safely.
- A larger, more challenging track is ideal for older children looking to build confidence, skills, and fitness.
Both tracks are great fun and encourage active, outdoor play.
Multi Use Games Area (MUGA)
Next to the BMX Track is the Multi Use Games Area, an enclosed pitch suitable for a variety of sports, including:
- Football
- Hockey
- Basketball
The MUGA is perfect for informal games, practice sessions, and active recreation.
Children’s Play Area
The park also features a dedicated children’s play area, equipped with:
- A slide
- Climbing frame
- Toddler swings
This space provides a safe and enjoyable environment for younger children.
Planned Improvements
Brampton Bierlow Parish Council is currently exploring options to enhance the park, with a particular focus on upgrading the children’s play area to better meet the needs of local families.

All facilities at Bierlow Park are free of charge, ensuring the park remains accessible and welcoming for the whole community.
